David Bloomfield began his career as a research scientist having obtained a PhD from the University of London. He quickly moved into a succession of international commercial roles with responsibilities across EMEA as a key supplier to the electronics industry. He set up several consulting businesses and was responsible for a +$100m manufacturing business.
David held a twin track career as a successful consultant specialising in (1) company growth and high tech product introductions and (2) as he now continues to do, in supporting third sector enterprises develop income from commercial new venturing.
He has turned round 2 charities, winning a Queen’s Award with one of them, supported the School for Social Entrepreneurs, a university incubator (Setsquared-Surrey) and acted as a non executive director of a social firm. Over a period of 15 years he has delivered consulting assignments to a diverse range of third sector organisations including well known national charities such as GDBA to much smaller community groups.
